When we become complacent in our daily lives we lose that spark that drives us to be better. I am sure all of us have gone through a period of time where everything in our lives just becomes black or white. Often our hectic lives cause us to stop appreciating (or even noticing) the beauty around us.
I have listed 5 simple things that help me live inspired :)
* READ *
One of my favorite past times is opening up a new book. I love being able to use my imagination to bring life to those black and white pages. If you are not much of a book worm, motivational quotes each morning will help set the tone for your day by reminding you of your purpose and what you're working towards.
* EXPLORE *
Don't be afraid to venture into the unknown! You can explore your own backyard. Visit a local park, restaurant, or shop in your area that you've always wanted to check out. I guarantee you won't regret it. The adrenaline rush alone from visiting some place new will be a definite mood booster.
* LISTEN *
Active listening is a lost trait in these instant social gratification days. A lot of people have some pretty neat stories to share; you just need to listen. A lot of insight is to be gained through face to face conversations. Listening helps us to become empathetic - more understanding. If you are bold enough to spark up a conversation with a stranger - do it! Or simply call up your grandparents :)
* WRITE *
Write out your visions. Keep a journal. Write a letter. Just write. Writing out your goals helps keep those dreams alive, so don't hesitate to do it. It is also important to release your feelings. If you're feeling down grab a piece a paper or pull out your phone and acknowledge how you are feeling. Write it out and then erase it! BOOM! You literally just released what was holding you back. It's like magic!
* LAUGH *
Most importantly LAUGH! Don't ever get too caught up in life that you forget to laugh. Surround yourself with fun people and your favorite things. Watch your favorite movie. Do something completely off the wall. Just enjoy life.
Inspiration, much like breathing is key for life. It can come from a variety of places and can prove to be beneficial in a number of ways. Whether you are an artist, student, accountant, or teacher creativity is necessary for motivation. We all have aspirations and it is important to stay true to these goals and not to allow a monotonous lifestyle to hinder you from reaching your dream potential.
I hope this helps.
